Wrapping Up New York Fashion Week Part 1

Calvin Klein's show was black and typically pared down. There was interesting texture, like looking at cloth through a flawed piece of glass, throughout the show. Other dresses had streams of cloth like water running over the models' curves.
The oh so Jackie day dress and coat combos at L'Wren Scott caught my eye. Even in solid black, the dresses, with a delightful, retro flair, demand attention. Who else wants the shoes?Isaac Mizrahi wasn't buying into black. Aside from some knits and wools, it felt like a spring show with light coats and sleeveless mini dresses. What do you think? Too out-of-season or delightfully fun?
