Paris Fashion Week Mega Players

I must admit to loving Jean Paul Gaultier. His distinct use of fetish and menswear is just my sort of mishmash. Fall/Winter 2009 included suit pant garters, clomping Doc Marten's, playful sheer panels, and fishnet accents.
Christian Dior had a slight Mongolian feel with some very 1920s coats. Poiret would be pleased. It probably wasn't Alber Elbaz's intention, but the Lanvin runway looked like Dior suits from the 1950s.The presentation at Vivienne Westwood hurt the collection. Over-sized jackets, draped capes, and strange hitches made it difficult to clearly see the clothes. Dress or top? Awesome tights or oddly sheer pants? What about these clothes says Pam Anderson is a good brand face? No idea. I'll just have to wait for the clothes to appear in Net-a-Porter's stock this September.
